Greenlam laminates awarded for being the Largest Exporter of laminates in India

New Delhi, September 29, 2011: Greenply Industries Ltd., leader in plywood and laminate industry in India, has received recognition for the stupendous performance in exports within its sector. Greenlam laminates are adjudged as the ‘No. 1 Exporter in India for FY 09-10 & FY 10-11’ by PLEX (Plastics Exports Promotion) Council. PLEX Council, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Commerce, Government of India, today presented the award to Mr. Shiv Prakash Mittal Chairman, Greenply Industries Ltd.

The award is recognition of Greenlam establishing itself as a strong Indian player with great significance on exports.

The new plant in Nalagarh H.P produces laminate in varied sizes such as 5x12, 4x10,& 6x12 apart from the standard 4x8 feet, which has contributed vastly to the large exports generated by the company. First Non US company in the league

It thus joins the league of international brands like Arborite (Canada), Formica Corporation (US), Lamin-Art (US), Nevamar (US), Panolam Industries International Inc (US) and Wilsonart Industries (US) to acquire this Certification. The Greenguard Certification Program is the only independent industry certification program for low-emitting products.
